NRG and Oilfield Risk Limited are developing a software tool called ‘Risk Impact’ (RI) that will provide clients with multi-Activity/multi-Risk assessment capabilities in one package. It is capable of dealing with either Cost Risk Analysis or Risk Impact Analysis.

Risk Impact is capable of handling projects from a complete Field Development, allowing for the input of all activities and Risks from all facets of the Project, down to smaller projects such as well interventions.

Risk Impact Provides:

• A straightforward series of input screens which allow HAZOP/HAZID or full QRA to be performed and managed for any operation.
• Output reports, for Risk or Cost Impact presented in a format which relates to the input data in terms of which activities and Risks are the most pertinent in terms of project success or failure.
• Input data files which may be modified, and re-saved, therefore providing an audit trail of measures taken to reduce project Risk.
• Sophisticated Monte Carlo analysis which produces in-depth Risk analysis reports for cumulative activities and Risks.

Where required, the spreadsheets allow probability, tolerability and recovery times to be considered and input. A report can be generated by NRG for the operation in question. The data is saved within the Client Database and can be re-run with modified data at any time.

Risk Impact is not limited to technical projects. It can be utilised for any project or workscope where there are activities which have inherent Risks. This includes almost any commercial Activity including marketing, product development, insurance issues and many others.
